Work at Applied Imagination

• You’ll work on client and internal projects doing UX/UI prototypes of full websites, webapps, and mobile apps
• You’ll perform research and analysis on existing websites, webapps, and mobile apps using a combination of tools such as analytics, heat mapping, and research
• You’ll work with our other designers, our web consultants, copywriters, and developers
• You’ll be involved in the quality review process to ensure things are implemented correctly and are high quality
• You’ll interface directly with clients to get direct information for some projects
• You’ll work in design tools like:
o Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
o Prototyping tools like Figma, Invision, Moqups, etc.
o Analysis tools like Google Analytics, HotJar, Moz
• We have clients in many industries so you’ll get to work on many different projects, styles, and brands.
• You’ll work on our operational experiences optimizing the way our customers consume our services

• Must have 3+ years of UX/UI Experience in agency, company, or high level freelance experience
• Team player who cares about their work as much as we do
• Client facing experience; Comfortable with clients
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to function well in a self-directed, team-oriented environment.
• Must have experience using graphic, prototyping, and analysis tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Be able to help/assist in Digital Graphic design as well
• Candidates must have a strong portfolio which demonstrates the elements above.

Nice to Haves:

Ability to code Advanced CSS, Laravel+PHP, and JavaScript/Vue required
Excellent front-end skills, including HTML and the use of CSS preprocessors and modern principles of JavaScript development
3+ years of experience developing databases using MySQL and/or other SQL databases
3+ years experience in object-oriented Laravel+PHP design and development
Experience in Full-Stack (LAMP) development (back-end, front-end and some server management)
Experience working with AWS and Linux environments
Expertise in source control, code review, and repository management with git
Good analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to function well in a self-directed, team-oriented environment
Must be up-to-date and always learning about the latest technical standards and best practices in interactive design and development
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be a team player that also can work independently, escalating issues when appropriate
Nice to haves:

Experience with Vue.js or other front-end frameworks such as Angular or React
Experience developing native/hybrid mobile applications, including phonegap/ionic
Some sort of project management or consulting experience

What you’ll do:

• No programming is required in this position
• Work with clients and internal staff to ensure processes are followed, paths are defined, and everyone stays coordinated and organized
• Coordinate and organize our team of consultants, solution architects, business analysts, dev leads, developers, UX, designers, QA personnel, and UAT personnel
• Ensure that requirements-scope-quote-vetting-dev-QA-UAT-deploy process stays on track, sprints are followed, and proper documentation is kept
• Ensure that clients are kept apprised of the project status and materials/information is collected from clients in a timely manner
• Define and keep track of project schedules
• Setting up and managing project management tools such as Jira
• Can understand technically complex projects and business processes
• Keep track of project finances such as managing finances, burn rate, setting up budgets, and ensuring we hit our targets
• Ensure issues, obstacles, and blockers are identified and overcome
• Maintain team efficiency

Requirements:
• Client Facing Experience in a web/mobile development related position (3 years experience minimum)
• Project Management experience (5 years minimum) in complex/technical website/webapp/mobile realm
• Understanding and broad knowledge in process and development of technical websites, web-applications, and mobile apps
• Highly competent with various project management software (especially Jira)
• Experience running a team in some capacity
• Organized and assertive
Nice to haves:
• Experience in web/mobile development, BA, QA, or UAT
Education

Requirements:
• 5+ years’ experience working directly with clients as a PM/consultant/UX/UI or as part of a team of consultants, analyzing detailed technology related requirements and specification designs specially dealing with Wordpress and Marketing websites/apps
• Deep expertise with Wordpress, Google Analytics, UX/UI, design, and SEO
• Experience leading and guiding teams to build large web sites and light web/mobile apps
• Must be organized and communicate effectively. Experience with organizing large web application efforts with multiple stakeholders, developers, designers, and marketers
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with audiences of all levels, including strong presentation development and delivery as well as business and technical writing
• Highly competent with project management software
• A history of mentoring and or coaching others with a focus on balanced feedback while effectively communicating development needs
• Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, and resources

What you’ll do:

• Field inbound sales leads
• Follow up and stay on potential customers you need responses or information from
• Work with our internal experts to gather the needed information and format them into sales quotes and proposals
• Come up with creative solutions on how to present and structure projects and sell to customers

• Outbound sales lead generation/cultivation to generate higher commissions

Compensation:
